Hello

I am so excited to share space with you on your journey to finding your voice - to finding yourself!  Prana Wellness Studio is a respite from the chaos of our lives, where you can learn to breathe again.  Singing is so much more than just making a sound - it's sharing your voice, which is sharing yourself.  Come breathe, sing, and connect!

My Story

Edwina is a Denver area vocalist and educator.  After graduating as a bona fide choir kid from Cherry Creek High School, she went on to pursue a degree in Music Education at the Universiy of Colorado at Boulder.  Twenty years, one sabbatical to teach college music,  and a master's degree later (in music education, also from CU), she concluded her public teaching career as the Music Instructional Curriculum Specialist for Denver Public Schools.  The best moments of her teaching career were spent in Northwest Denver with her students building a choir program that was inclusive and prioritized a sense of belonging, welcoming any level, at all times.

Edwina believes in the ability of every person to use their voice to express and connect to themselves and others, that music-making is ingrained in our heartbeat and how we interact with the world, and her greatest joy in life is helping others discover this for themselves. Currently, she works as Director of Operations with her husband at his nonprofit, Colorado Treks, and is excited to bring a wellness singing space to life with Prana Wellness Singing.

Performing experience includes singing for the Denver-based Creole Funky Band, lead soprano in Audio Radiance (an A Capella group out of Iowa), soprano singer for Kantorei, and more wedding and church gigs than she can count.  She has studied with Winifred Hartman, Robert Harrison, Kim Nazarene (of the New York Voices), Gretchen Parlato, and the late great Grammy-nominated jazz singer Janet Lawson who she would frequently travels to New York to study singing and it's connection to our spirit.  Throughout her career as a vocal instructor, choir teacher, and teacher coach, she has held connection to self and spirit as the path to highest importance, and finds great joy in helping others on that path.  She is currently at the beginning of her yoga journey, and is studying with Mark Moliterno to become a YogaVoice practitioner in 2025.
